Hi friends, coming back to my page after a long time. In between had nothing to talk about and everything to be discussed! But for that we need time, as it goes with my temper same goes with my time, it’s too short!
All of you know with what circumstances am going through, being unemployed is sort of a crime, so tried best to hide from myself but was beaten up by every moment! Haah, again those boring tales! No don't kill me; I have something nice and cheering to share here.
I intended to start my advertising agency since college days, Had created some newspaper ads with the name of Emerald International, which is actually my brother's Export, Import firm. But I had a dream to run a full fledged advertising agency cum a media house. Being a journalist never wanted to go away from my passion, so had a difficult time to decide how to go about it. Thanks to my dear friends, Imran, Saad, Hozefa, Ibrahim and Faizal, with whom I had a good beginning and the brand came out as Media Monks! Whatever may be the reason the project eventually failed but had a good learning experience then.
To survive is what we do in this world and I was no exception so I continued with my ETV job. But after being with the company for two years and hence not receiving any incentive for my hard work was very unhappy and irritated and finally resigned in last March. And the question raised what next....! Applied almost in all the leading publications and media houses, spoke to hundreds' of friends, including those guys, who used to call me for the information then and now don't pay any heed towards my calls. So had a big slogging period.
Right now, I am sitting in my own cyber cafe! Now, the question is, what am I doing here? yeah... Let me introduce you to my new venture, Emerald International!
After struggling for few months for a good job, as I don't wish to join anywhere, any place. So, I planned to resume my passion of advertising, which was almost killed during Media Monks' downfall. I designed one plan for an office, its required infrastructure and investment but was dejected by pitaji maharaj! Hence was suffocated and confused, but fortune favours the brave, the great English saying applies here too...
Three weeks back a friend of my mine called me up, he wanted to set up a Canada-based call centre and BPO office in India, he was looking for my assistance to guide him to a right party, so who can better than my own self, discussed the whole plan with Tarique Bhai and we sent him our proposal, he accepted and we agreed to the terms. Luckily this time our father, the lord of our home also agreed to lend us some financial support.
Then we were looking for an office in a good location again comes the English saying time supported us. We met a guy Abid Khan at Nerul Railway Station; he runs a cyber cafe here. We enquired about property rates and rentals to him and he gave us the details. Above all, he provided us an offer too, he said he intend to give his cyber cafe including the machines on rental, if we want we can have it! This could be a best offer to any newcomer in the market. We went home discussed and finalised the deal with him.
Now, since July 13, we are handling the cyber cafe, the office will be renovated soon and the cabins will come in shape. Guys and girls are to be employed and a fully fledged advertising, marketing, call centre, BPO, public relations, designing, media buying and selling, market research, B2B and B2C selling firm or say a small media house came into existence.
So, till our advertising office gets renovated we will be having just cyber cafe running here, even after its accomplishment we will continue with the net cafe until we receives a good profit.
So now am happy, as am giving lectures of journalism in Rizvi and SNDT (Matunga) Colleges, have a full fledged office to spent time and a good girl to love forever. Hope, these days remains with me till death and business generates that success, which can feed to our next generations. (AMEEN)
