Maare sare gunj hi lagta hai yeh zamana
Hum pe yaqin na ho toh khud isko aazmana!
Hai waqt ik musafir chalna hai iska kaam
Isko na soojhe kaun tu, rehta hai arifana
Hum pe garaj rahi hain qayamat ki bijliyan
Yan kaun dekhta hai, mausam hai aashiqana
Waiz chupa hai beitha masjid ki khidkiyon mein
Ae rabb tu hi bata de, kya hai tera fasana?
Jo log mil ke humko, dushnaam kar gaye
Unse yeh kaisi ulfat, kaisa yeh dostana?
Yaan kaun sun raha hai, is dil ki dastaan ko
Bas ek tu deewani, bas ek mein diwana
Ab aansuon ko Asim, chup chaap pi chalo
Sab ko hi khal raha hai, yeh andaaz shairana!

Dear Asim, there is not an ounce of doubt that you write extremly well and I really admire most of your work. But I think you should expand your reach beyond language barriers. By this I mean, you should try to attempt writing more in Hindi and in a easy flair, which is easily understood by all. I agree, your writing reflects your command over various languages. It is a sheer source of learning for your readers. But I would request and admire your attempt to write more in Hindi and English.
Just enlighten poor soul like me.

I have given word meanings with the said poem, a writer or poet writes according to his choice, he chooses words with his thoughts, a poet says his mind indirectly, so the things which are easily understandable are not actually a poetry.
Will you tell the same thing to Shakespeare, Iqbal, Hali, Saadi, Hafiz,Mir or Ghalib! If you start reading their work you might fell unconscious. Coz thats actually peak of poetry! I m trying hard to write better, i know its not perfect, it cant be nobody can be perfect, its individual mind set, a cloth i may like but you may not! Same way one needs to expand his/her vocabulary, and that happens only after reading them, sometimes when i read Iqbal i dont get the meaning then i look into dictionary to find out the meaning and that increases my knowledge as well. Thats the way one should go with literature. you may not call my work as a part of literature but i am giving my best today!
I will try to give as much explanations or word meanings as i can give but at last its ur choice to read and if u r not getting it then check with dictionary else am there to answer any query!
My thoughts mirror my image and that can't be simple as you desire them to be, let them be complicated! I LIKE IT!
@ Asim.. Mr Khan seems like you are taking too much pride.. but remember there is a differnce in being clever and being clever by half. I think you got the message.
